What type of work does Moredun Scientific carry out?
Our animal health and aquaculture teams test the efficacy and safety of new and improved products for livestock and fish health. This involves working with livestock and fish as well as a range of different veterinary pathogens e.g. bacteria, viruses and parasites.
Our biosafety team deliver a range of tests to ensure that biopharmaceuticals, and the cell lines used to make them, are free from contaminating adventitious agents e.g. bacteria or viruses.
Our Quality Assurance department confirm that our work complies with regulatory guidelines.

We work with a range of different organisations focused on the development of products for animal health or aquaculture or the manufacture of human biopharmaceuticals e.g. vaccines.
Our clients include large and small pharmaceutical companies, biotechs and academic institutions.
